I have been a porcelain artist for over 40 yrs. I began as a young girl when my Mother owned a Ceramic business in Syracuse, N.Y. I worked with her after school and on weekends learning all aspects of the craft as well business management. She was one of the largest suppliers in the State of NY. Pursuing my desire to learn more about art I attended Syracuse University and where I earned my BFA in the early ’70’s. There I had extensive training in all areas of ceramics,as well as drawing, painting and sculpture.

Over the years I have studied with many of the best Porcelain painters in the world. As a result I have refined my skills by incorporating various painting techniques. My specialty is flowers although I can paint almost any subject. ie: animals, landscapes, portraits, florals, lusters and goldwork.

Exhibiting extensively on the East Coast over the years, I have received several Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place awards. I am currently a member of IPAT as a Teacher/Artist and the Virginia WOCP.

Currently, I am teaching classes 2 mornings a week. Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:30pm. Cost for a 3hr class is $15.00 . Snacks and refreshments are included.
